The Tracking Room, established in 2005, is an affordable recording studio conveniently located at Veemarkt 72 in Amsterdam Oost.
A great choice for bands looking to record their music with a warm, live feel, capturing the energy of the performances. A intimate studio for those looking for a homely place in the middle of the lively city to work on their craft and songs.

Tracking Room is the perfect DIY studio.
Most bands have someone in their circle who has an affinity with recording technology. Our studio setup makes it quite easy to record yourself and make music at the same time. Of course, we’ll set you up with placing and adjusting microphones first. With some (demonstrable) basic knowledge, most people can then continue recording themselves.

Playing together in one room and recording stress-free with the remote controls, makes it easier to lay down that ‘one take’. We encourage bands to ‘do it live!’ Equally those who meticulously hone their songs and music note for note feel are at home very well at Tracking Room Amsterdam.

Microphones, preamps and A/D converters are at ’boutique’ level and our control room is equipped with top-tier acoustics and state-of-the-art monitors.

Feel free to use our Bösendorfer grand piano, amps, Slingerland & Ludwig drums, Trep Leslie, Keyboards, headphones & headphone mixers etc etc.

The dimensions of the recording room are 6.80 m x 5.60 m x 3.90 m (L x W x H), covering an area of 38 m².
Our cozy control room, featuring a three-seater sofa, offers top-notch acoustics and superb monitoring.

There’s a lot of stuff at your disposal. At Tracking Room Amsterdam we have a mix of vintage and new gear amongst which a very nice collection of mics and an impressive and versatile list of mic preamps. See the list here.
